Zemlinský Quartet in concert in Tournai

Date of event: 07/02/2021 The prestigious Zemlinský Quartet will be on stage on Sunday 7th of February 2021 in Tournai on the occasion Antonín Dvořák’s 180th anniversary and in the framework of the 19th European String Quartet Festival of Tournai. The audience will have a chance to enjoy two concerts in one day – both dedicated to the Czech legend.

Founded in 1994, the Zemlinsky Quartet extends the classical heritage of the greatest repertoires and perpetuates the traditional school of the string quartet in Bohemia. World famous, the Quartet has won a series of international awards (Banff International String Quartet Competition, Prague Spring International Music Competition, and London International String Quartet Competition).

In view of the current health situation, the terms of the concert will be specified according to government decisions.

  • 11am:A. Dvorak String Quartet opus 51 & String Quartet opus 106
  • 4pm: A. Dvorak String Quartet opus 105 & American String Quartet opus 96
