Science café with Kateřina Falk

Czech Centre Brussels, CZELO, ELI Beamlines, South Moravian Region and Pilsen Region invite you to Science Café, an unconventional open discussion on research in the field of Experimental Physics with one of the Czech most eminent specialists Kateřina Falk, Ph.D., a physicist specializing in the x-ray Thomson scattering in laser-shock experiments and the equation of state of warm dense matter (WDM). Registration is requested (find the link below).

Science Café is a forum for discussion of current work and interesting scientific issues. It aims to be informal and accessible. Anyone can participate; speaker is there to be questioned and to talk about his work. Our theme is Experimental Physics and Women in Science. Kateřina Falk is a physicist specializing in the x-ray Thomson scattering in laser-shock experiments. She completed her PhD in Atomic & Laser Group at the University of Oxford and worked at the Plasma Physics Group, Los Alamos National Laboratory. Currently she holds scientist position at the ELI Beamlines facility in Prague.

We very much hope that you will be able to join us on 15th June 2016 at the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU. Registration opens at 6:30pm.

The discussion is followed by glass of wine.
