Recital: Magdalena Kožená & Yefim Bronfman

A famous mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená was born in a Czech city of Brno. She has been awarded several major prizes worldwide. Moreover, her solo album called “Monteverdi” was nominated for the best vocal album of Grammy Awards in 2016. This outstanding versatile artist performs in prominent operas and concert halls around the world.

Magdalena Kožená performed in La Monnaie in 2008 and on several occasions in BOZAR and now she returns with a solo recital that interweaves German and Slav elements. The audience will listen to song cycles of Mussorgsky, Bartók and Shostakovich that reflect themes of everyday life.
