Oľga Paštéková

Oľga Paštéková (1984) is an artist from Slovakia. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava (Slovakia) and also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (Austria). She has exhibited in Slovakia as well as in the Czech Republic, Austria and London. In Brussels she will present her latest work entitled "... she took a basket and set out to the woods ...", in which she refers to an old story about a little girl and a wolf. It's about relationship between humans and nature, but also about the relationship between women and men. The secret in the story is both horrible and attractive. The paintings, done on wood, are arranged so that the viewer feels observed by the wolf from all sides. In the middle of the space there is a small installation on the ground in which the visitor can identify remains of Little Red Riding Hood. Oľga Paštéková
