Markéta Luskačová´s Photo Exhibition in Binche

The International Museum of Carnival and Masks in Binche cordially invites you to the photo exhibition of Markéta Luskačová thematically devoted to one of the Czech traditions – carnival, named „Death, horses and other figures“. You can visit this exceptional exhibition from 4th June till 11th September 2016. The opening will be held on Friday 3th June 2016 from 7pm.

Photos reveal the atmosphere of carnival in the Czech Republic, especially in a small village nearby Prague. During several years Markéta Luskačová has captured local folklore and you will have the opportunity to have a look at more than 40 of her pictures at the exhibition.

Markéta Luskačová was born in Prague. She has a degree in sociology of culture from Charles University in Prague (1967). Her theses deals with traditional form of religion in Slovakia accompanied with photographs of pilgrims. Between years 1967 - 1969 she studied photography at the Film Academy in Prague. And since 1968 she works as freelance photographer.
