CinEast (ciné-East) − Central and Eastern European Film Festival in Luxembourg is held annually in October since 2008 and attracts around 10 000 festival-goers every year! The festival schedules more than 100 films (short and feature-length) from countries such as Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Macedonia…and many more! Also, it offers a large program of screenings for children and schools, retrospectives, concerts, parties and debates.

This year, in cooperation with the Czech Centre Brussels and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Luxembourg, the festival features Czechoslovak classics as well as very interesting Czech contemporary films.

Exhibition is being held in the Embassy premises as from 10 October, the opening evening features The Joke, film by Jaromír Jireš inspired by Milan Kundera’s eponymous novel.
