Art Brussels – DRDOVA GALLERY & Barbora Kleinhamplová

DRDOVA GALLERY, Czech Prague-based private gallery will join the biggest Belgian contemporary art fair with Czech conceptual and multimedia artist Barbora Kleinhamplová. The gallery will exhibit her latest work “Sickness Report” on the 37th edition of Art Brussels. The work includes a new film, sculptural and found objects and diagrams in which Kleinhamplová addresses the sickness of neoliberalism through a metaphorical voyage both far ashore and in the mechanisms of building luxurious yachts and fabricating medications.Barbora Kleinhamplová focuses on a human existence in a contemporary political and economic environment. Her art work is said to be a form of a non-violent commentary and a critical view of a modern society that are pictured through irony. (Artlist, edited)

Art Brussels was founded in 1968 and belongs to the most renowned contemporary art fairs in Europe. Since 2015, Czech progressive gallerist Lucie Drdová introduces young cutting edge art from the Czech Republic. Among others, her booth at Art Brussels, which takes place in the emblematic building of Tour & Taxis in Brussels from 2016, featured Pavla Sceranková, Jan Nálevka and Aleksandra Vajd.
